Whiplash injury settlement for taxi driver - £2,542 recieved - Elen Wynne Roberts

Our client was hit by a car emerging from a side road colliding with the front of our client's taxi, he was spun around and collided with the central reservation.

As a result he suffered a whiplash injury and subsequently brought a claim against the other driver (the ‘Defendant').

Blame for the accident was admitted by the Defendant's insurers, so the main issue of the case was how much our client's claim was worth.

The insurers for the Defendant initially offered £1,550.00 in relation to general damages (compensation for the physical injury sustained by our client) which was rejected and subsequently increased to £1,700.00. This offer was also rejected.

The matter eventually went to Court where we successfully secured £2,013.33 for our client in respect of his general damages and a further £528.85 for his financial losses, making a total settlement of £2,542.18 in favour of our client.

If you have been injured in an accident that was not your fault, you may be entitled to claim damages for your physical injuries and financial losses, please do not hesitate to contact one of our members of the accident and personal injury team on 0151 647 9381
