Lees Solicitors LLP reassures clients and contacts

23/09/2009

In light of the extremely sad news that Lees Lloyd Whitley have filed for administration (as reported in the Liverpool Daily Post and Liverpool Echo on 22nd September 2009), Lees Solicitors LLP wish to reassure their clients and contacts that they are a completely separate business which is going from strength to strength.

Lees Solicitors LLP, then named GF Lees & Son, was founded in 1889 by George Frederick Lees. It merged with FS Moore & Price to become Lees Moore & Price in 1983. In 1988, it also incorporated Whitley & Co and Edward Lloyd & Co to become Lees Lloyd Whitley. In 1994, however, that large grouping demerged and a number of the original partners went back to their roots, emerging as Lees & Partners. Peter Lees, senior partner, was the last member of the Lees family to work within the business before his retirement in 2003. The firm transferred to LLP status in 2007 and re-branded itself as Lees Solicitors LLP.

Lees Solicitors LLP holds the Investors in People and Lexcel (the Law Society's quality standard for practice excellence) kite marks and has increased its number of staff by 20% over the past 3 years. The majority of Lees' staff are based on the Wirral and their strong roots in the local community provide Lees with an unrivalled knowledge of the local market place, enabling a top quality service to local clients, building upon their successes and reputation to attract new clients from the all over the north west and further afield.

Today, Lees Solicitors LLP offer a wide range of legal services to both businesses and individuals. They assist businesses with any corporate commercial matters including property, dispute resolution and employment law. For individuals, they assist with divorce, wills, personal tax planning, trusts and probate, residential conveyancing, and accident and personal injury. They also have two niche areas of specialisation; Court of Protection, assisting individuals who lack capacity to manage their financial affairs, and Clinical Negligence, where individuals have suffered avoidable harm, injury or loss as a result of substandard clinical treatment. The firm practises from offices in Hamilton Square, Birkenhead, Telegraph Road, Heswall and Grange Road, West Kirby.
