Basic job description: Your main tasks will be the typing of dictated material, answering telephones and advising clients where appropriate.
Skills required: Due to team expansion a new role has been created for a Legal Secretary within our Family Department. We are looking for a real team player with a "can do" approach and an excellent telephone manner and communication skills. Excellent touch typing (80+WPM) is a must as is the ability to produce a high standard of work under pressure.

Junior Legal Secretary - Court of Protection

Basic job description: Your main tasks will be the typing of dictated material, answering telephones and taking messages from clients where appropriate.

Excellent touch typing (60+WPM) is a must as is the ability to produce a high standard of work under pressure.

Department: Wills, Trusts & Estates
Based at: Birkenhead
Working hours: Full time (Monday to Friday)
Reporting to: Mark Duckworth, Head of Department, and the department's fee earners.

Medical Records Analyst
Department: Clinical Negligence
Based at: Birkenhead
Working hours: Full time (Monday to Friday)
Reporting to: David Tweedie, Head of Department
Basic job description: Studying, paginating, sorting medical records and preparing chronology for submission to expert witnesses and ultimately Counsel and the Court. Identifying missing records. Supporting the lawyers - discussing and researching clinical issues. Advising lawyers where appropriate if there appear to be further allegations of negligence.
Skills required: The job holder will have an excellent clinical and medical knowledge and first rate communication and empathy skills. S/he will also possess good numerical and analytical skills.
Experience in a medical setting (RGN, theatre technician etc.) is desirable.
