The Clinical Negligence Accreditation Scheme covers all work undertaken by solicitors and suitably qualified Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives (FILEX) arising out of any act of negligence, breach of contract and/or statutory duty as a result of which the victim has sustained injuries in the course of medical or dental care.

The need for this scheme is for victims. Members will have shown, to the satisfaction of the Law Society, that they have and will maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of clinical negligence.

The Family Law Accreditation Scheme covers all types of family law work, except public law Children Act work, which is covered by the Children Law Accreditation Scheme. Members will have shown, to the satisfaction of the Law Society, that they have and will maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of family law.

AvMA specialist clinical negligence panel member

Action Against Medical Accidents (AvMA) is a leading independent charity promoting better patient safety and justice for people who have been affected by clinical negligence. AvMA has a well respected specialist clinical negligence lawyer’s panel.

lexcel practice management standard member

Lexcel is a quality mark awarded by the Law Society to firms who meet its management and customer care standards. Accredited firms undergo rigorous independent assessment every year to ensure they meet required standards of excellence in areas such as client care, case management and risk management. Generally fewer complaints and claims are made against Lexcel accredited firms.

conveyancing quality scheme member

The Law Society’s “Conveyancing Quality Scheme” (CQS) provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices and our membership establishes the integrity of our conveyancing and cashiering staff, the firm’s adherence to good practice management standards and adherence to prudent and efficient conveyancing procedures.
